Social Media Content Creation for Goodwill Lappeenranta

While working as a Communication Assistant / Content Producer at Laptuote Foundation, I was also responsible for social media content creation and communication for Goodwill Lappeenranta. Goodwill Lappeenranta utilizes Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. In my content creation, I aimed to highlight Goodwill’s ideology and operations, showcase the store, promote products and services, and advertise current discounts and events. A key focus of my work was ensuring that all content I created followed Goodwill’s brand and graphic guidelines.


Content Creation and Visual Identity

In creating content, I filmed and photographed materials, wrote video scripts, recorded voiceovers for the videos when necessary, and wrote captions for social media posts. I also revamped Goodwill's "Löytölauantai" discount campaign's visual identity, creating a consistent foundation that reflected Goodwill Finland's brand. This visual foundation was used for other announcements as well, such as informing about store closures.


Challenges and Priorities

While working on Goodwill Lappeenranta’s content, I was able to utilize my skills in design, photography, and video production, while simultaneously developing my abilities in brand management, creating visual concepts, as well as marketing and customer service. A challenge I faced was that from May onward, I was primarily responsible for the social media channels of Laptuote Foundation, as well as the SOTE workshop and Goodwill Lappeenranta. This caused some time management pressures, and my main priority became managing Laptuote's social channels. However, I ensured that all relevant updates and promotions for Goodwill Lappeenranta were always up-to-date on social media, while striving to create diverse content within the available time.


Diverse Content

Additionally, I created English language versions of the content, which helped reach a broader audience. If I had more time, I would have liked to produce more videos for social media and develop narrative content concepts. However, considering that I was the one who ideated, created, and managed content for several different social platforms and brands, I am especially proud of the completed works. I believe I laid a more consistent and brand-aligned foundation for Goodwill Lappeenranta’s social media presence.
